Two men have been charged after an armed robbery in which a machete, a knife and a concrete paver were used to threaten staff at a hotel on NSW's north coast.
Police said that shortly before 10.30pm (AEDT) on Monday three men forced entry to the hotel in Sawtell where they threatened staff and took cash and other property before fleeing.
Around 20 minutes later police stopped a vehicle on nearby Toormina and arrested three men.
Police allege that a large amount of cash was found when searching the men and the car.
Two of the men, aged 21 and 22, were charged with robbery, armed with an offensive weapon.
They were refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.
The third man was released without charge but police said investigations were continuing.
