Some of New Zealand's finest expats will line up for a royal appointment in London.

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will on Wednesday meet with antipodeans who have been recognised for outstanding contributions or achievements and crowned as UK New Zealander of the Year.

A selection of winners and nominees of the award, which has been presented since 1999, will visit Clarence House, where they will meet Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Past finalists and winners of the award include NZ war memorial architect Jonathan Rennie, golfer Michael Campbell, and restaurateurs Susan and Tom Glynn.

Among the guests listed for Wednesday is celebrity chef Peter Gordon and gold medal Olympic equestrian Mark Todd.

Recipients and nominees of the Australian of Year in the UK awards will also attend the event.
