There is concern for the health of an elderly Tasmanian woman who was traumatised by a home invasion this week.
Ann Sayers fled her home at Snug on Monday night when three men wearing balaclavas broke in and stole her safe, containing cash and heirlooms.
Police are continuing their investigations into the burglary.
The woman's son, Joe Sayers, says his mother has since been taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack.
"Not good at all, we're very, very worried for my mother's health," he said.
"My mother was taken to hospital in an ambulance with a heart problem, she's still in hospital in critical care.
"The doctors have advised that she doesn't even return to her own home because that's the place of the stress and the strain for her.
Police are searching for three men in relation to the incident.
