Katter's Australian Party state leader Ray Hopper says he has taken the Queensland Government to the Anti-discrimination Commission.

Mr Hopper says he is being discriminated against, because the State Government passed legislation denying his party official recognition in Queensland Parliament and a slice of Opposition funding.

He says he has made a formal complaint against his former Liberal National Party (LNP) colleague, Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney.

"It's absolute discrimination," he said.

"In the Act, it says about a person's political status and that's exactly what we've taken Mr Seeney to the Commission on."
