Heavy rain has fallen through central Queensland and a severe weather warning is in place for the region.
On the Capricorn Coast, 200 millimetres of rain has fallen, where a car was found in a flooded creek this morning.
Rescue crews searched along Taranganba Creek south of Yeppoon but could not find anybody.
There were also falls of up to 200mm in the Boyne Valley, south-west of Gladstone, which was cut off in last month's floods.
Builyan resident Jack Ryan says floodwaters are into his backyard and getting closer to the house.
"The water's about a foot in the backyard now and it's coming down the front of the house just down the road," he said.
"It would have to come up another six inches I reckon before it comes into our rumpus room, that's the downstairs room.
"That's where we had 12 to 14 inches in there last time."
