A man has been charged after allegedly procuring a child for sex on the NSW south coast.
A 15-year-old girl was with friends at a post office on Winnima Way, Berkeley, when they were approached by a 44-year-old man on Thursday afternoon.
The man led the girl away from her friends and allegedly tried to procure her for sexual activity.
The girl got scared and walked away, with the man trying to grab her as she left.
The incident was later reported to police and they later turned up to an address in Berkeley and arrested the 44-year-old man.
He was charged with procure child for unlawful sexual activity.
He was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court later on Friday.
