A former senior lecturer at Edith Cowan University has been charged with nine counts of corruption, involving payments totalling $83,000.
The Corruption and Crime Commission says the 52-year-old Joondalup man allegedly helped his estranged wife to become a sessional tutor at ECU from 2008 to 2012.
However, the man allegedly performed the tutoring work instead of his wife.
Payments from the university were allegedly made to a joint bank account and used to pay the couple's mortgage on a jointly owned property.
The man is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday March 29.
