An 18-year-old rear male passenger suffered minor injuries.
Both had been rear seat passengers.
A third passenger wasn't hurt.
Police said the 24-year-old driver fled, leaving his injured friends behind.
The car crashed after police saw it speeding at an intersection. Several motorists were forced to take evasive action.
The driver was arrested shortly after the crash.
He's been charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, possessing stolen goods, and failing to remain at the scene of a crash.
He'll face Mackay Magistrates Court on Monday.
