HONG KONG (AP) — Sevens series leader New Zealand will face defending champion Fiji in the Hong Kong Sevens semifinals later Sunday after claiming a dramatic, last gasp 21-14 win over Samoa.

Luke Masirewa scored the match-winning try after the final siren to maintain New Zealand's unbeaten record at Hong Kong this weekend.

The winner of the New Zealand-Samoa match will meet either Wales or surprise semifinalist Kenya in the evening's final.

Fiji earlier beat Australia 29-5 in the quarterfinals to advance, while Wales downed Canada 28-14 and Kenya edged a surging Portugal 12-15.

New Zealand has a big lead in the overall standings and could clinch the sevens rugby series with a win at Hong Kong.
