"Not at all. I don't feel like I deserve the money at all. I've only been here three weeks. And it was my choice not to play…I didn't have the money to do it."

"And she was still, you know, I don't think it's a good idea. I said to her, Jen "If you don't play we are definitely going to win." And her response was "I'll take the fall for you guys." (Reporter: And look what happened). And look what happened - we hit the Powerball."

"The way we are as a group, we absolutely would not want anyone to ever feel left out. I realized when I saw her Sunday morning, and I unfortunately had to be the one to tell her, I got to thinking about it. And thought, 'Oh geez, this is just not going to be fun without her.' So, again, I sent a text message out to my team…all 12 of us…and I said 'You know, I think it would be a great idea for us to include her.' And I don't think it was 30 to 60 seconds where every single person chimed in with 'Hey, I'm in.'"

"It's very natural for us. We are very all kind of taken back that everybody wouldn't do this, right? Because this is what you are supposed to do. So I feel, again, I'm hoping…maybe it sounds corny but, pay it forward. We are really, really hoping that's what happens."

"I just stopped crying five minutes ago. I really, we've been through a whirlwind. It was a very emotional experience to learn that I had a chance at a piece of a million dollars and I just let it slide right through my fingers."

A dozen workers at a South Florida real estate agency are big winners after winning $1 million in the Powerball. But one employee, who just started three weeks ago, did not join the office pool.
Now, the team led by Laurie Finkelstein Reader are paying it forward.
"The way we are as a group, we absolutely would not want anyone to ever feel left out," Finkelstein said.
Twelve realtors at Keller Williams Realty in Plantation joined the office pool last week for the March 23rd Powerball drawing, pitching in $20 each. Employee number 13, Jennifer Maldonado, just started her job on March 8th and decided to opt out of the office pool until she received her first paycheck.
"I said to her ,"Jen If you don't play we are definitely going to win. And her response was "I'll take the fall for you guys." And look what happened - we hit the Powerball," Finkelstein said.
The winners offered to give Maldonado a portion of their earnings - although she won't say how much they are giving her exactly.
"I don't feel like I deserve the money at all," she said. "I just stopped crying five minutes ago. It was a very emotion experience to learn that I had a chance at a piece of a million dollars and I just let it slide right through my fingers."
