A man has been charged and another is under guard in hospital after a stabbing in Sydney's west.
Around 1.30am (AEDT) on Tuesday a 29-year-old man went to hospital with stab injuries to his chest and abdomen and cuts to his arm and face, police say.
Inquiries led officers to a house at South Wentworthville where they arrested a 25-year-old man who was later charged with intentional wounding in company with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and affray.
A second man, aged 23, is under police guard at Westmead Hospital where he is being treated for cuts to his hand and a head injury.
Police expect to also charge that man.
It's alleged the pair were involved in an altercation outside the South Wentworthville house.
The charged man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court later on Tuesday.
