PRAGUE (AP) — Tennis star Ivan Lendl is displaying his full collection of posters by the Czech art nouveau painter Alphonse Mucha for the first time.

The eight-time Grand Slam winner's collection of 116 posters is being exhibited in Prague's Municipal House, an art nouveau architectural landmark that Mucha helped decorate.

Lendl began collecting the works in the early 1980s. Mucha created the bulk of the work from 1894-1935.

The show opens on Wednesday and runs through July. Organizers say there's interest in displaying the collection in other countries, including Japan, China and Russia.

The former tennis star was born in what was communist Czechoslovakia before becoming a U.S. citizen. He is expected to attend the exhibition later this month.
