JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Hwang Inn-choon of South Korea and Scott Hend of Australia both shot a 6-under 66 Thursday to take the lead after the first round of the Indonesia Masters.

Hwang had nine birdies to go with a bogey and double bogey, while Hend followed a double bogey on the fifth with an eagle on the next hole along with six birdies on the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

Bernd Wiesberger of Austria, a two-time winner on the European Tour, was a shot behind in second while British Open champion Ernie Els and six other golfers were a further stroke back in a tie for third at the Asian Tour event.
