Global media company News Corporation has more than tripled its third-quarter profit.
In the three months to the end of March, News Corp made a net profit of $US2.85 billion.
That is a substantial improvement on the $US937 million the company made during the same time last year, and beat analyst forecasts.
Revenue increased to more than $US9.5 billion during the quarter.
News Corporation's latest profit result shows costs related to The News of the World phone-hacking scandal amounted to $US42 million during the March quarter.
The company's world-wide publishing income fell to $85 million during the quarter, from $130 million a year ago.
News Corp says earnings from Fox Sports Australia made a solid contribution to its better-than-expected third quarter profit result.
