One of two Broome police officers stood down during a Corruption and Crime Commission investigation has been reinstated.
The Police Commissioner stood the officers down last week, saying he had been advised they had failed to cooperate with the CCCs inquiry into an alleged assault at the Broome watch house.
The Police Union offered to help the officers launch court action saying they had done nothing wrong.
Late yesterday the female officer was given a 'stand-up notice'.
Union boss George Tilbury has labelled the incident a 'gross error of judgement by the WA Police'.
He says the officer is angry but will return to work in Broome on Monday.
The male officer has not been reinstated but will not be pursuing legal action.
