Police are searching for two people after a footy player was shot in a park in Sydney's south.
The 27-year-old victim was shot in his right hand and left thigh after he finished footy training in Mascot just before 8pm (AEST) on Tuesday.
He was taken to hospital for surgery on injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
He remains in a stable condition.
Police say they are looking for two people who sped off in a luxury car.
"A white BMW containing two persons was seen leaving the area," Inspector Paul Thornton told AAP.
He said the man was shot twice in the attack.
