A Tasmanian man has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter after his friend's death at a bucks night celebration.
Luke Cripps died in February when the ute he was riding in the back of rolled on a private property at Clifton Beach in the state's south.
The 29-year-old had been celebrating his bucks night.
Nathan James Carins, 30, has been charged with manslaughter and driving while exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit.
In the Magistrates Court in Hobart, his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Carins has been committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court in February.
The drink driving charge was adjourned for a date to be set.
