1. SOUNDBITE (English) Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics coach: "it's an honor and a privilege to be here, I certainly have a lot of thanks to dole out starting with my family Brady, Kinsley and my mom are upstairs watching this and Tracy as well. I mentioned that she is my attorney and for those of you who haven't heard me say this before, I'm the only coach in the country who pays 100% to his agent."

"I also certainly want to thank and appreciate Butler and there's been a lot of emotions the past couple days. I love the opportunity and I'm thrilled, but it was hard to leave."

"As any young basketball fan was or is, just in awe of the Boston Celtics, the Boston Celtics organization and all that has been accomplished by the many players, coaches and everybody else that has worked in this building to help them do what they've done in the past."

BOSTON (AP) The Boston Celtics have introduced former Butler coach Brad Stevens as the NBA team's new coach.

Stevens, his wife, Tracy, and their two children joined Celtics officials at a Friday morning news conference at the Celtics Training Center.

The Celtics announced Wednesday that it had hired the 36-year-old Stevens as the team's next coach. He replaces Doc Rivers, who was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Stevens has led the Bulldogs to the NCAA title game twice, but has no NBA experience as a player or coach. He had been courted by Illinois and UCLA, among others.
