GROS ISLET, St. Lucia (AP) — Captain Misbah-ul-Haq struck a half century and anchored Pakistan to 229-6 against West Indies in their third one-day international on Friday.

Misbah scored a fighting 75 off 112 balls with three fours and two sixes and was involved in two half century stands with Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal before being bowled by his counterpart Dwayne Bravo.

Akmal gave the innings some impetus at the end by hitting an unbeaten 40 off 31 balls and adding a rapid 52 off 26 balls with No. 8 batsman Wahab Riaz (19 not out).

Bravo took 2-40 while Jason Holder also chipped in with 2-50.

The five-match series is tied 1-1 with Pakistan winning the first match by 126 runs and West Indies leveling it with a 37-run victory at Guyana last Tuesday.
