A truck driver has been killed in a head on collision near Geraldton.
It is understood a five-tonne truck collided with an 80-tonne truck yesterday afternoon on the Brand Highway in Greenough.
The driver from the smaller truck, a French national, died at the scene.
Sergeant Jayd Morawski says the other driver has escape major injury.
"He's very shaken up as you'd imagine," he said.
"This is his livelihood driving trucks.
"He's been involved in an event going about his daily work that's obviously resulted in someone's death.
"I'm not suggesting he's at any way at fault at this point in time, however this is an event he has to live with him for the rest of his life by simply being involved."
The Brand Highway in Greenough has since reopened to traffic.
