Collingwood defender Marley Williams will today face court on WA's south coast where a date is expected to be set for his trial on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm.

Williams is accused of breaking a man's jaw by punching him, outside the Studio 146 nightclub in his home town of Albany last December.

He has previously pleaded not guilty to that charge and will face the Albany District Court this morning for a trial allocation date.

The 20-year-old has established himself as a Magpies regular this year, playing 14 of the side's 21 games.
