British supermodel Kate Moss did what she does best and posed happily for photographers and crews gathered in London on Wednesday (September 04) for a preview of a forthcoming auction celebrating her career.

A modern muse, Moss has graced the cover of endless magazines and now an art sale dedicated to her is due to go under the hammer at Christies auction house.

Philippe Garner, Christie's international head of photographs, said Moss found the idea of the auction exciting.

''Kate has had a lot of mixed emotions about it all one level delightful and disarming modestly as if to say 'all this fuss around me?' At same time totally supportive and thrilled to see some of these works coming together, pictures that she only knew as tear sheets from the magazines becoming works of art and working with certain of the artists who are painting her, sculpting her creating work especially for the sale has certainly been a great buzz for her.''

Some works such as Allen Jones' 'Body Armour' piece, which sees Moss covered in gold, was commissioned specially for the sale, while other images are high quality prints of some of Moss' most iconic photo shoots - such 1993's picture for Calvin Klein's Obsession perfume campaign.

The auction will take place on September 25.
