A man who is alleged to have shot up a home at Lilydale, in Melbourne's outer-east, has been remanded in custody after a brief court appearance.
Simon Leigh Hancock, 35, is charged with reckless conduct endangering life, common law assault and firearms offences.
He handed himself in on Thursday after a four-day police search.
Hancock accused of firing shots at a Lilydale house earlier this week.
Police also allege he threatened to kill a man and assaulted him with a handgun.
Mr Hancock's lawyer, Rainer Martini, told the Melbourne Magistrates Court that his client has a prosthetic limb and without proper facilities he can experience difficulty.
He said Mr Hancock also suffered other medical issues.
Hancock did not apply for bail and has been in remanded in custody. A trial has been set down for November.
