For the person who loves driving, but just can't stay out of the water … 007's memorable Lotus Esprit from the 1977 James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me".
It sold at a London auction for £550,000 British pounds, that's around $860,000 U.S. dollars, but still less than the guide price.
And even though it's no longer a working car, it's a fully functional submarine, says RM Auctions specialist, Don Rose.
SOUNDBITE: Don Rose, RM Auctions car specialist, saying (English):
"Of all the Bond cars and all the gadgets ever done in a Bond movie, I don't think there was anything as outrageous as a car that transformed itself into a submarine, and here you have the final, functional working object, one and only."
Perhaps the perfect vehicle for handling rising global water levels.
