South Australia won the toss and elected to bat in their one-day cup match against Tasmania on Saturday at Bankstown Oval in Sydney.

The Redbacks are seeking to avoid a repeat of their two-wicket defeat to the same opponents on Wednesday.

South Australia captain Johan Botha lines up despite the former South African spinner being cited on Monday for a suspect bowling action.

Tasmania will again be skippered by Tim Paine in the absence of George Bailey who is captaining the Australian one-day team on their tour of India.

Neither team can afford a loss with both having suffered two defeats so far in the competition.
