Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez will play in Monday's game three of the National League Championship Series even though he is nursing a cracked rib.
Ramirez will wear a special pad to protect the rib area after doctors diagnosed him as having a hairline fracture.
He was injured when St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly struck him in the rib area with a pitch in the first inning of game one.
He did not play in Saturday's game two. The Cardinals lead the series 2-0.
