Strong shaking felt in Pakistani, Afghan capitals

An apparent earthquake has been felt across large parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

Strong shaking has been felt in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul and across northern Pakistan, according to Reuters witnesses.

Shaking could be felt as far as the Indian capital New Delhi on Tuesday evening.

Large parts of South Asia are seismically active because a tectonic plate known as the Indian plate is pushing north into the Eurasian plate.
